An Introduction to Opkey's Job Portal

Opkey's Job Portal platform simplifies your suites/jobs execution by using tags. You can now quickly add the needed test cases for specific applications to your Suite or Job based on tags, saving you the time and effort of searching for them for hours.

Let’s proceed to find out how you can work with Opkey's Job Portal platform.

Launch the Job Portal application by clicking on the Launch Now button

There are two modes for you to choose from, Opkey Web and Opkey Surge.

Choose your mode accordingly.

You can change the mode from the tab present on the dashboard also.

The dashboard has three tabs. Let’s understand them.

Request Job – This lets you add tags to the selected test cases of Opkey Web or Opkey Surge.

Click on the Add Tag Option from the window.

You can also clear the added tags from the Clear Tag option present next to the Add Tag button.

In the pop-up window, check the boxes of the projects and click the Submit button.

Select the projects and click Submit. The tagged test cases can now be seen.

Give a name to the Job and save it with the Save button present on the ribbon.

Execute using the Execute Button present on the ribbon. Enter details of the Session Name, Build, and Execution Agent on the Local Execution Wizard. Click Finish.

The selected test cases can also be scheduled at a future date.

Click on the Schedule button present on the ribbon.

Enter details of the Session Name, Build, Execution Time, Time Zone, Execution Agent, and Generic Plugin on the pop-up window.

Click on the Schedule button.

The Job will be executed at the respective time.

Note: Make sure Opkey Hub is online while executing the Jobs.

Manage Job – Lets you manage the Jobs of Opkey Web or Opkey Surge. View the tagged Jobs in the Manage Jobs tab.

Search Jobs of the respective project with Start and End Date.

Search for the Build and Sessions to know its Execution Result.

It will display the session status.

The status of the Jobs can also be seen on the dashboard under Sessions.

You now have an overview of Opkey’s Job Portal.
